Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is a Hollywood actor, writer and bestselling novelist. Her talent has earned her world-wide recognition. She's an Sagittarius born on the 3rd of December 1960 in North Carolina. She's the eldest of three children who were born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) and Anne Smith, who is a psychologist. In 1985, she made her on-screen debut in an episode of The Edge of Night. The following year, she played in the roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her breakthrough. In 1988, she was an actress on the show, and won a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she debuted in cinema in the form of Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and 3 Women (1997) were all directed with Robert Altman. In the latter, Moore won numerous awards as well as praise from critics. Moore was her first major character on screen in Safe(1995). Steven Spielberg, who was director for Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997, one of the year's highest earning films, chose Moore as the lead actress. The actress received an SAG nomination in 1999 for the role she performed in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. The Hours was her co-starring role in 2002, and it earned nine Academy Award nominations along with Nicole Kidman.
